Classic English Mystery: The Clock Strikes Twelve

30 Jun

Open Road is a on mission to re-publish, digitally, some great back catalog works. This Miss Silver mystery is written by Patricia Wentworth, who began writing in the early part of the 20th Century. For Americans who have only read Agatha Christie and her Miss Marple, the Miss Silver stories make a nice counterpart. Very much in the vein of the “cozy mystery,” Miss Silver understands human nature, and the way she picks up on and shares that information creates the attraction of this book.
